Oil Painting Lessons
by Nancy Acosta, Artist and B&B Owner/Host,
while staying at Steelhead Run B&B.

|
Nancy Acosta, a known western artist owns the bed and breakfast and offers private art lessons to interested individuals staying at Steelhead Run. Classes begin with the setting up of the painting, a basic drawing lesson, setting up a basic palette of the primary colors in warm and cool shades. Then doing the under-painting. After the darks are set in, you'll take a lunch break and then return to finish the painting. Smaller simple paintings can be done in a day, about 8 hours of painting. For larger works it will take a two day work shop. These classes teach the old fashion basics, not "paint by number" style. Nancy's expertise is in portrait work, so like above they worked on a kitten to learn how to do hair, eyes, etc. You may choose your subject matter. There will be a lot of basics taught and a lot of one-on-one teaching.
Cost Of Classes
$100 per day, you providing supplies. - $150 per day, with Steelhead Run providing all the supplies. Approximate 6-8 hours with a break for lunch.
Triple A Members present your card at check in and a 10% discount will be applied to your bill.
